The Dance of the White Dogs

Most dogs at the park are brown like me and Flash

but two of the new ones are white. That is Olive and Dorry who like dancing.

They are still young. I sometimes dance (mostly at home)

but today I re-purposed the box that Dad's toaster that he got for his birthday came in. Dad said there was an article in the paper about reimagined vintage pieces. He wanted to know how that was different from junk. I could not help him.

Old Friends...and a New One

I had not seen Mazzie for a bit.

She used to come to the park often but now she goes running.

I heard she ate rat stuff on the street, but now she is better. It was good to see her.

We were on our way to the park, and when we got there, Jada was there and a puppy called LeeLou, but maybe it is not spelled like that, but, since I can't spell, it does not matter. She was very small, as you can see.

Then Benny and Knutty turned up. Knutty has not been to the park for ages and ages so it was funny to see him there and like the olden days.

After that there got to be lots of dogs and we went home and I had a bath because I was very dirty. I am less dirty now, you will be glad to hear.

SNOW DAY !

When I got up this morning and looked out of the window it was snowing.

This is me looking out of the window.

A man we know was already walking his dog, but Mum was reading emails

so I looked out of the window some more

and some more

then they put my boots on and we went out

Lots of people were at the park and we were all excited because of the snow

and Mimo was smiling.

Then Mum said her hands were too cold and we went home.

I said she could sit on the bench if she wanted. Haha.

Lately

It has been very cold but no snow yet.

There were two kittens at the vet that Mum took photos of. I do not know why.

What Goes On

I am not really in charge at the park

but I like to keep other people up to date

and sniff them a bit to see where they have been.

Me and Flash have been coming here as long as anyone we know.

Sometimes I have to be on the lookout to see what is going on.

Jada and Charlotte and Flash do that too.

The other day something funny happened. Mum was

gabbing and dropped my lead and some puppies got it.

Notes from the Dog Park

It was beige day at the park this morning because we are all the same color

A Mixed Few Days

This is a dog called SnowWhite.

Mum met her at a party where they had Maltese rescue dogs. I did not go to that party and Sasha got in trouble because she did not want all the little dogs in her house and one can scarcely blame her.

That was on the same day that Henry came over.

If they had to choose between us, Henry would win.

I am allowed to watch him play, but if I take any of his toys to my bed to chew them, they come and take them away.

This morning Elly and Knut came over with her hat that is made of an alpaca.

This is me wearing it and I am not happy.

Happy New Year

My Christmas

We went to the park to see who was there.

It was Enzo and Charlotte and Harley.

Charlotte is shaking hands

Harley is asking James for food.

Knut came over in the afternoon wearing his Christmas hat

and gave me a really good present that I am looking round

making sure no one else is getting.

I told him he could look at my tree and even eat

some of the treats I was sent by Mr. Chewy because he wanted to know if I liked them. (Mr.Chewy, wanted to know, not Knutty.) Well, I do like them and he can send me more whenever he wants to.

If I am too busy to write too much because my sister is staying,

MY BIRTHDAY

Today is my birthday and I am three.

So we went to the park and I wore my jingle bells and one fell off.

We walked past the diner, and you would think it was

snowing, but it is not. It is just painted on the window.

This is Galahad, that people who know him well can call him Gally.

In this picture it is like the olden days.

My good friend Milo was there and

Nico who used to scare me when I was little,

but he is gentle really.

Baxter was there and he likes being with us big guys.

When we got home, they were trying to fix the cold water

faucet and Knutty was over to wish me happy birthday

so we were helping.

My Week by Buster

A lot has been going on. For one thing it has got colder.

So Baxter is wearing his coat to the park.

This is a good picture of Gally.

Sometimes people come to the park that I have not seen before.

This is Ella who has a face like one of the cookies you can get in a shop that is called a black and white cookie. Someone said she was like an old episode of Star Trek but I do not know Star Trek. She was nice anyway.

This is another matter entirely. A big, gigundo, gi-normous dog came to the park and talked to Charlotte.

I think he likes her. This may be a problem. I do not know.

This is a lion that was in a shop. If I looked like this I could get the big dog to go away.

Festive Thoughts on Red and White

These are some of the things I have been thinking about.

They made some Christmas cookies and I am looking at them.

Here is me pretending that I am not thinking about the cookies which I never got.

One thing I am thinking about is that lots of Christmas

is red like the berries the florist's cat is hiding behind.

She is now looking at me. There are berries on trees, but in a shop you have to buy them.

Yesterday there were lots of people dressed up in red and white.

It was a good day because I had a walk with DreamDateDarcy

who is mostly white except her mustache.

Olive is pretty much white and was playing with some

dog that I do not know who it is except it is white.

This is not red and white but it has a bird in it, in case you like birds.

About My Week and Some Scary Stuff

Things started off pretty normal

This is me and Oskar checking things out at the park on a foggy day.

And me and Gally and Olive at the same place.

This is a portrait of Dizzy who is a puppy as you know

and Tyson who is my age probably.

There is a vet by us that gives out free samples of stuff, and I have a sample everyday, but it is not the vet I go to, but some other dogs do. You can see one in the window.

Anyway,

Yesterday Paz came over and we all went for a walk down

22nd Street and the cat with the racoon tail was there

and the other cat that was looking round to see what was going on.

It has not been very cold yet so there are flowers and things.

But what I wanted to tell you about was that Fatty is getting nearer my house.

I think she is heading this direction

and yesterday outside our window was a HAWK!

This is really true. Mum said he could come in to eat the mice, but I said what if he is in league with the evil Fatty-tribe? But Mum said she and Dad would save me.

We have had Thanksgiving round here

so I have not been doing much blogging. Nor has Mum.

If you look carefully you can see three of me!

I do not know why they call this dog Bello.

That means beautiful in Italian. You never know with parents.

I am on the look out for her and making a plan what to do.

Thanksgiving by Me

This is Professor Joba who had his hair cut.

When people want to know what I give thanks for

it is mostly for Pat the crossing guard who gives me cookies.

I am not thankful for leaves specially, but here they are anyway.

My Seahorse and What Happened to It

This is me in my house.

I am lying on the rug.

The other day I got a really good present from Knutty.

It is a seahorse and very beautiful.

After a bit I decided to take the squeaker out.

The best way to go in is through the head.

Then I took all the tummy stuff out and the squeaker too.

Then Mum threw all the stuffing away and that is what happened to my seahorse.

Our Party

To start off with....

some spooky pictures for you.

Knutty and me walked past a haunted house

This is us wondering about it, or else we are wondering if we will get a treat.

Mum likes this picture of my noble profile and some pumpkins.

This is me by another haunted house but you can only see my tail.

Charlotte was a sheep at the party. Mum said she was a wolf in sheep's clothing. I do not think Charlotte is a bit like a wolf, or anyway not very much.

Then she got the head bit off and was happier.

I had to wear my stupid ears again. In my shadow I look like the wolf that Charlotte isn't.

Then Biggie wore them but he did not like them much either.

Samson was an Asian dumpling with noodles and chop sticks.

So was Lily.

Charlotte Maude was a box of cakes except we are looking at the leaves.

Baxter's family said he was Ernest Hemingway but I do not know how you can tell that.

Gomez wasn't anything this year since we had

a snow storm yesterday and they did not have time to make him anything.

In my shadow this time I look like a deer. Maybe.

When I got home Dad put my ears on. I am glad I do not have to wear them anymore.

Me and Knutty and the Big, Giant Puddle/shadowshots

If you looked out of my window the other day

you could see that the sky was very dark. Then it rained and it rained.

When me and Knutty went out for our walk there was a puddle

all over the road and the sky had fallen into it.

So we were looking at it.

Then Knutty asked his mum if we were going to cross the road.

I was thinking deep thoughts or else I was hanging round waiting.

Then Knutty decided to step in it.

Funny Faces

This dog was outside a shop. I was waiting too.

I do not think he liked the look of me.

He has got very weird teeth.

Fat Cats and a Baby

When I went over to Jasper's house his cat was there.

The cat looked at me and did not let me play with the tennis ball.

This cat used to live at our vet's in a cage, then some people in our building brought him home to their house. I think he likes to drink. Anyway

there is a new puppy at the dog park. He is Biggie's little brother.

Sasha wanted to check him out

and he checked out Benny

then he sat on Linda's lap

and looked around. His name is Bhudda.

The rest of the gang were there too like Hodges and Charlotte.

A Movie at Last!

My Family and Other Animals*

Anyway, this is morning and I am licking Dad's plate that he had a muffin on.

My sister came to stay from England and came to the park with me every day.

When Knutty climbed up the steps on the way to the park she talked to him.

When we got there, Baby Lily was there drinking out of the drip in the wall.

he is friends with Roxy too. People asked if I was in a video, and Mum made some of me

and Roxy but it looked like we were in a big fight so she will have to try again some other time.

Today it is raining and there was no one at the park except me, so we came home.

Fatty and Other People

There was a lot of fuss about the storm, but mostly all I noticed where lots of branches

on the ground and a lot of Fatties hanging about spying on me from the trees and making their usual gibbering sort of noise. I have taken the color away from this one.

I have never ever caught a Fatty, and perhaps I never will. They are the bane of my life.

But on to better things. Knutty is home.

We went round his house this morning so he could come to the park with us.

Louie was there

and Milo who has just got a human baby sister

and Sid who had a ball today, not his Snapple bottle

and a little one that is a cockerpoo like Professor Joba, but you can see this one's eyes.

Back to Normal --Almost

In my house they put plastic on everything

which made it very slippy to lie on.

Anyway, we are home. The floor looks pretty much the same to me.

But we are going to my park again. Here is Isabel

I asked Sid if I could have his Snapple bottle.

He said: no, it was his.

So I said I did not care

and went home and had a nap on my sofa.

There is a hurricane coming and they bought me an extra big bag of food.

More about My Vacation

Up here they have weird garbage cans.

I would not be happy if I had a bolt through my head.

Sometimes Professor Joba did not want to play.

He lay down on the sofa.

But we went for a lot of walks

we walked along the road and into the woods.

I smelled a lot of grass and I ate some.

Joba came too.

Once I got a cobweb on my nose.

These animals once belonged to Joba's dad.

This is me on the last day of my vacation thinking that I will

be glad to go home but sad for my vacation to end.

Nature and Digging

In case you did not know, this is what nature looks like.

It is mostly green and there is a lot of it.

Anyway, in nature the ground is not hard and you can dig holes in it.

Mum said, "What are you doing, Buster?"

I have dirt on my nose so she could probably guess.

Sometimes they go out and me and Joba look out of the window.

If you look very carefully you can see his nose.

Next year we need a bigger pool.

I Go to Camp Backyard

I am telling Hodges that I'm going on a trip.

Linda says that she and Biggie will miss us and I should not be worried by the car ride.

Well, the car ride was not good

but then I got to Camp Backyard which is where Professor Joba lives.

There is grass and bushes and bugs to chase.

Zeus, a Funny Foot and Lucy

The hose is pretty much bust.

So when Zeus sat in the pool he got a drinking fountain too.

Baby Lily thought that was cool.

Hodges is getting very fuzzy and soon you will not know if he has any eyes.

Something bad happened to our friend who came over to give me a box of dog biscuits.

One foot is much bigger than the other. I am looking solicitous or maybe just attentive.

Lucy looks like me.

Her tail is even bigger than mine was before I had my hair cut.

She is a very nice dog.

Other than that nothing is new.

End of Week Round Up

This is Biggie sitting on a rock.

He is on a diet which means he will get slimmer. Maybe.

Like most of us Sid thinks about food quite a lot.

Poor Lily is sitting in her bag because she had an operation. She is now better.

Milo has a new collar that is purple and a green thing that I do not know what it is.

Knut is back and he is smiling even though he is at the park

which is not so exciting as the beach.

This is really weird. Mimo is running and having fun.

When we got home we found a picture that Dad did years ago

and it looks like Mimo and like a dog that was in books

for children at school a lot of time ago.

Then we met Dream Date Darcy on the street

and I am waiting to get a treat from her mum.

And this is pretty much what has been going on round here.

Jasper, Art Project and a Day at the Dog Park

When Jasper comes over

he always wants to lie in my bed.

This is him lying there smiling and comfy.

My heart is not in my art lately. Maybe it is the heat.

Even this detail of the perforated cardboard lacks the bite my work used to have.

Maybe when fall rolls around I will have better ideas.

Anyway, we are having the best time at the park. On Saturday everyone was there.

Like Baby Lily, Louis, Roxie and Hodges.

Louis is thinking of cool stuff to do.

Baby Lily and Baxter too....

Baby Lily has got a lot of extra skin and wrinkles and stuff

round her neck. That is in case you need to pick her up.

She has also got big feet.

I am no longer a puppy, but one of the top ones. Like Benny. He is on the right.

Mimo got in the picture, but he is a puppy really.

This is Baxter who is a puppy too. He got wet in the pool.

He did this for ages and ages.

I am trying to look dignified while all the young pups wander around causing trouble.

It is more peaceful at home when all I have to do is look

for flies and hunt them down and eat them.

It is extra hot here

so Biggie is still lying on the bench.

Knut is pretending to be a polar bear.

Some people have asked where Fatty has gone. Well, now you know; she is under the picnic table in the flower garden and she is still looking at me.

Because I am very famous, I sometimes get presents in the mail.

This time it was cool dog gift wrap and labels from Papergirl.

I did not get to eat it or even play with it because Mum said we could use it for other people's presents. C'est la vie. This is French for: get over it. Oh well.

Hodges got the paper bag that Mum brings plastic bags to the park in.

Then Hughie wanted some of the bag and chased him.

Moth and Wren

A moth came in my house

so I decided to catch it.

I am studying it very hard.

Then it went on the studio window. When I caught it, I took it to my bed.

Then I spat it out because it tasted bad and it flew away.

That is what happened with the moth.

This is a dog called Wren that came to the park.

Wrens are usually birds, but you never know nowadays.

She is a pretty nice sort of dog, like what my mum had when she was growing up.

Yesterday Henry came over and he got two brooms and started to sweep

Overdue and Fly Hunting

I have not been writing my blog because Mum has been in England

and Dad does not do as much writing as she does.

Sometimes I was looking out of the window.

This is Keith a pigeon who lives outside Claud's house in London.

He does not know how to eat the bit of bread. I could have helped him.

This is a rabbit that I would have chased had I been there.

I was not there, so I did not.

Then Mum came back.

This morning we saw Zoe who was going in a car with Knutty somewhere

that I was not going.

She is a puppy.

Then they took me for a walk.

Haircuts and Things that Happen on the Street

Milo has had his hair cut

and now he looks......

a lot more like me!

He has the same noble profile.

Darcy had her hair cut too

so Enzo had his picture taken with her.

The other day we met a family on the street

and they said this is Shelby who had his picture in the blog

when he was a puppy and now he is very big. Well, quite big.

I was very pleased to see him.

I was not quite so pleased to see this dog that a Chinese artist

made because it is very big and I do not know what happened to his body

This morning we saw Arrow which was good.

I also checked my garden which is on the street by our house.

No one has pooped in it or stolen anything lately.

a mean cat looked at me

Some Thoughts About Gander and why Dogs are Different Colors

This is Gander

who likes the pool almost as much as I do.

This is me and Gander not talking to each other.

Then we did pretend fighting for a bit.

Then we stopped doing that and just stood around and I was thinking

That Gander is the same color as Hodges, but I look more like Gander, and then

a funny looking guy arrived who is black and white like Gander and Hodges, but

has got some brown in too. I think he looks a bit comical,

and that is what I was thinking about, mostly.

Summer has come at last.

So me and my friends are cheerful and we get to stay longer at the park.

Catch Up Time

My family have been over a lot lately.

This is Henry. They take him for a walk to the human playground where I cannot go.

Then they took me to my playground and O'Malley was back.

As well as the pool.

Dee Dee was there, and you can see me in the pool at the back.

Major wants to chew Louis, but he just laughs.

He is not scared of Kiko either.

Roma and Benny were just sitting around.

This is Flash and Pablo and Arnold. O'Malley had been sick but he is now better so we are all happy.

At home I have to check up on Henry because he is very busy.

Sometimes he lies in my bed. Sometimes he drops food.

Professor Joba mostly sits on the sofa with his tongue out. He is used to Henry.

But I have to keep an eye on him all the time.

I Ponder a Bunch of Things and Good News

I have not done my blog for a bit because my mum has not helped me

so I have lots of things to show you. This is Knut when

we climbed up some steps. We could be in a movie.

One day a van stopped near my house with lots of dogs on top of it. I do not think it is safe to sit on the top of a van because you might fall off. But none of them did fall off, and they gave our mailman and other people some free samples. I ate mine.

On another day we met another Buster when we were on our walk.

I now know four Busters, that is me and three other ones.

This is me lying on the sofa in the late afternoon.

I am thinking it is about time they gave me my dinner.

Sometimes I think about art. This is a very good painting of a dog

by someone who paints on windows. It is a little bit like Charlotte who I like.

This dog looks mean, so I do not know why he got his picture painted.

He is fat which is what happens when you eat too much.

If you look carefully you can see that Dexter is making

a shadow like a wolf. This is pretty clever .

This is Hodges looking like Hodges. He only got in because he has not been in the blog for a bit.

Ditto Bodhi who lives downstairs from me.

This is a very big fly. They are not usually that big, which is why it is in an art gallery.

Knutty is in the picture too, but you can only just see him.

The good news is that the pool is back at the park!

Charlotte, my sister and some Very Big Dogs

That is because she has her tongue out.

This is Z with two humans. You may recognize one of them.

This is a very funny picture and everyone said it was OK to put it in!

Mum said it is better sometimes not to say things.

Anyway, a puppy came to the park and all the humans drooled -- as usual.

I will have to admit that his ears are pretty cool.

I think the puppy was a bit surprised when Milo was telling something shocking to Biggie.

Then some really big dogs came past with people sitting on them.

Then I went home.

A Busy Week

This will be a long letter because lots of things have been happening.

First Jasper came over and we played for a bit.

Everyone says that Jasper looks like me but mini-me, but also that Jasper looks like a fox.

I do not look like a fox. My sister saw one when she went on 5th Avenue yesterday.

This is a picture of her and the fox. I do not have eyebrows like that.

Anyway, when they came home from seeing the fox, we went for a walk and we met Hanna that we met before. She makes special dog food* that is very good that I like that has pure ingredients in it.

Knutty gets to eat it everyday. I only get it sometimes. In this picture I am eating it.

I got some samples to take home.

This morning I went round to Knutty's house so we could go for a walk.

This is my latest portrait. This is pretty much what I look like.

We were happy to see Gomez who we haven't seen for a bit.

If this was a prize giving I would be getting first prize

and Biggie would be getting the second one.
