This is the time of year when

you can find a severed hand in the pears

 birds swirl in the air

 the sky falls in puddles.

and I'm glad of a tough friend like Milan

when there are skeletons and chickens in windows

and on delis.

This is the time of year when

I might howl at the moon

 be tempted up steps towards black doors

where people without meat on hang in windows.

Gosh! I hope you are not too scared!

So here is a picture of me and Charlotte from this morning

and a picture of Mona too. 

This is me safe at home having a nap.

Our Party

To start off with....

some spooky pictures for you.

Knutty and me walked past a haunted house

This is us wondering about it, or else we are wondering if we will get a treat.

Mum likes this picture of my noble profile and some pumpkins.

This is me by another haunted house but you can only see my tail.

Charlotte was a sheep at the party. Mum said she was a wolf in sheep's clothing. I do not think Charlotte is a bit like a wolf, or anyway not very much.

Then she got the head bit off and was happier.

I had to wear my stupid ears again. In my shadow I look like the wolf that Charlotte isn't.

Then Biggie wore them but he did not like them much either.

Samson was an Asian dumpling with noodles and chop sticks.

So was Lily.

Charlotte Maude was a box of cakes except we are looking at the leaves.

Baxter's family said he was Ernest Hemingway but I do not know how you can tell that.

Gomez wasn't anything this year since we had

 a snow storm yesterday and they did not have time to make him anything.

In my shadow this time I look like a deer. Maybe.

When I got home Dad put my ears on. I am glad I do not have to wear them anymore.

This is me in my costume.

I am wearing my Christmas wreath with the bells cut off and leaves put on.

I have some feathers and a cape with leaves.

This is a sausage dog I met.

This is a chef.

This is a peacock. I think. But it is a dog too.

I got a present which is a ball that squeaks.

So  I hope you have fun too.

Things Going on Around Here

This is Beau and Arrow

 They are very shy and gentle. I never saw them run.

 They have got new collars.

This is a window of a diner by our house. 

I think they are letting chipmunks and squirrels in now.

 I do not approve of this.

 This is a black bird, but he is not going to peck my nose because he is not real.

I am glad this is not real either, othewise I would be scared.

Tomorrow I am going to be on TV, maybe*. I have a costume.

There are going to be a lot of dogs so maybe
I will be in the back row and you will not see me.
