I Have A Strange Day

The first thing is: I did not have any breakfast.
Not even any of Dad's toast.
Then we went to Dr. Farber's place where I met this puppy.

I saw a cat too. I do not know many cats.
Then Mum went home. I do not remember the next bit.

In the afternoon Mum and Dad came to collect me.
I was so pleased to see them I peed on the floor. The people at the vet said it
didn't matter. It happens all the time.
Then we went home and I cried. They put this collar on me. I cried more.
Mum and Dad sat round saying: "Poor Buster. Poor Buster."
Then they took the collar off. I ate my dinner. Then I ate another dinner.
I stopped crying.

This morning I can jump. I am not wearing my collar
because they are watching me.

If you look at my leg you can see where some of my fur has disappeared.

ps. The good news is Dr.Farber says I do not have ear mites any more.
The bad news is. Well, you do not want to hear that.
Love from Buster.

Mum, a Fun Fair and a Hydrant

This is me admiring a lily.
Mum says people  like Oscar Wilde did things like that
in the olden days. Did they get yellow pollen on their noses too?

There is a fun fair by St. Columba's Church.
This is the front end of a  pretend horse.

This is the back end. I did not get to go on any of the rides.

Not even the airplanes

This is me staring at the fire hydrant and all the mess in the gutter.

I now know why fire hydrants are important in the city.
All big dogs know that.

This is Fatty looking at me.

My Pals, Jobs and Art

When I grow up maybe I will be big and noble like this hound.

This is Buddy. His Dad was reading a book about Dostoyevsky.
I do not know who that is.

This is me standing outside an art gallery on 24th Street.
Mum thought the art would make a good back drop for me.

Dad wanted to see the Robert Longo show in Metro Pictures.
We snuck in.

Look at me reflected in the left hand panel.
I had had enough art for one day.

Maybe I can get a job like this dog so I can buy stuff.
I could buy presents for Darcy and Gabriela.
They are girl dogs I know who live round here.

A Busy Day

This morning I walked under the hedge. I chewed some of the leaves.

Then I saw Fatty the Squirrel.
She is going to have baby squirrels.

Then I had a little lie-down.

Whenever we go out people say: Isn't he cute!
Can I pet your dog?
How old is he?
What kind of dog is he?
Mostly I put up with this.
Sometimes I sit down and itch myself.

In the afternoon we walked down 22nd Street in the gallery area.
It is on the way to the dog park.
What sharp teeth this man has!

Quite a lot of my friends were at the park.
This is a pointer.

I met someone who looked like Joba but wasn't Joba.
In Duane Reed, on the way home, we met Mark from the bank.
He asked what kind of dog I was.
Dad said he didn't know.
So the man from the bank said, "Half pigeon, half alligator."
I did not think this was funny.

Upstate and Upstairs

I went in a car. I have only been in a car one time before.
That was the day I got adopted. We went to Joba's house.

My house has an elevator.
So I had to learn to go upstairs...

and downstairs.

Kristin talked to me and Joba and told us how to behave.
She works with children who have problems.
We tried to listen.

Then we ran round and round and round anyway
in the back yard and in the house.

Then we went for a walk

and I saw a dogwood tree with pink and white in it.

This is me and Joba and Bobby, my mum and dad's other boy.

ps. I did not mean to be sick in the back of the rental car.

Lots of Things Happen

Yesterday Mum and I went shopping to buy me more Science Diet.
Mum bought me a new tennis ball.

On the way home we met Lauren and Mabel. You can tell I admire her.

Maybe Mum and Dad will take me to this movie.
They went to a movie yesterday.
When they came back I chewed through
a wire to Mum's computer.
It was crunchy. She wasn't looking.

This morning I decided to get up early before it was
properly light out.

This is me yesterday when we had got back from walking
through a thunderstorm to the Apple store
 to replace the computer thing.

Things that Have been Going On by Me

This is me and Dad. We are both smiling.

When we went for a walk Mum said,
"Look at the wisteria, Buster! Look at the lilac!"

Then we met Dozer. He was adopted too.
He came from North Shore Animal League.
Mum thinks he is very handsome. Maybe more handsome than me.

Mum put a sheet on the chair I sit in because she said I was wrecking it.
This is one of my toys. It came from a box under the bed.
It belonged to Skippy a long time ago.

This is me on the red carpet at the movie theater.

The Lion, the Dalmation and Dad

This lion lives on 22nd Street. I hid under the bushes when I saw him.
He must have been very bad to get turned into stone.

I have got spots but this dog has better ones.
When a little girl said I looked like a hyena, Mum said not to take any notice.
It is still too hot. Hotter than it has been in my life.

The children in Pinwheel Park play in the sprinkler.

All I got is an ice cube.

Dad says I'm not such a good dancer as Skippy was
but I'm learning.

This is me and Dad.
I like it when people are lower down than me.

Water and Stuff

Mum has put a bath mat under my water dish.

When I went for a walk I saw a dog looking out of the window.
He looked very sad.
He was there on the way back too.

I saw human puppies in Clement Moore Park.

Then I came home and put my foot in my water and splashed it all over.
I did this lots of times.
